17. average gamer age now, according to some surveys is 30. not sure if a beleive that tbh, cos that means that all those 15c yr old gamers must be countered by either a large amount of gamers in he late 30s, or an equal amount of gamers age 55.

Im completly blown away by the number of both older and also female players!

Pretty awesome that GW can appeal to such a wide audience!.

Guess it has something for everyone then.

Let's hope the female gamer market grows!, gaming should have never become stereotyped as a male only activity in the first place , and i think this thread prooves that gaming has entered finally entered the mainstream arena.

Heck, my dad plays video games, although he pretty much sticks to the adventure genre nowadays. My son is a 3rd generation gamer. Most of my friends I play with range from 25-40, with a majority in our 30's.

We 30yos were kids when home video games exploded onto the scene. Yep, we're the old guard, and there are lots of us.

I'll be playing for as long as my health allows.
